We’re looking for a hands-on Aluminium Centre Manager to lead our established Archerfield team of approximately 11 employees. This is a great opportunity for an experienced people leader who enjoys being close to the day-to-day operation, supporting customers and sales, and developing a small, high-performing team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team across Customer Service, Internal Sales, External Sales and Warehouse Operations.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that reflects Capral's five core values and encourages teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Champion Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) by leading from the front and ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
  • Support sales performance by working closely with your team, identifying growth opportunities and strengthening customer relationships.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by ensuring service standards are consistently achieved.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Aluminium Centre, including warehousing, inventory management, fabrication, dispatch and customer deliveries.
  • Manage Centre budgets, monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels, workforce planning and employee development to support business objectives.
  • Monitor Centre performance through KPIs, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality, safety and operational excellence across the Centre.

About You

You are a hands-on and approachable people leader who enjoys developing others, building strong customer relationships and creating a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

You may already be managing a small team or operation, or you could be an experienced Supervisor, Team Leader or 2IC ready to take the next step into a management role.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous leadership experience within customer service, sales, warehouse and/or operational environments.
  • Customer-facing sales experience with a strong focus on relationship building and service.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and an understanding of budgets and business performance.
  • Well-developed organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with inventory and operational processes.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • A genuine commitment to workplace safety and employee wellbeing.
  • The flexibility to travel occasionally as required.

Desirable:

  • Experience within the aluminium, building products, manufacturing, metals or trade industries.
  • Experience using SAP.
  • Forklift licence or experience working within warehouse operations.
