Maintenance Manager

    A great opportunity now exists for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join Australia’s leading Aluminium Manufacturing and Distribution company.

    About the Role

    This role is primarily responsible for monitoring plant performance, scheduling preventative maintenance and implementing continuous improvement systems. This role will also oversee installation, commissioning of process equipment, and development of maintenance strategies for the production environment.

  • Essential Skills:

    • Well-developed knowledge of safety and environmental regulations associated with a manufacturing or similar environment
    • Degree Qualified in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or extensive experience in a manufacturing or similar industry and role with a suitable trade qualifications (Mechanical or Electrical)
    • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment.
  • Desirable Skills: 

    • Some experience working with automation, PLC and SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems
    • Previous supervisory experience of trade technicians, contractor and contract management
    • Knowledge of manufacturing/ production processes including a knowledge of manufacturing quality systems
    • Proven experience and knowledge of modern manufacturing practices and technologies including computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
    • Proven experience in managing plant engineering and customer focused maintenance functions
    • Some experience with extrusion manufacturing equipment and processes.
