Primary Responsibilities:

• Raise and issue Purchase Orders with approved suppliers in ERP system
• Monitor stock availability to meet demand and update stock arrival ETA’s
• Proactively follow up outstanding purchase orders and overdue items
• Source alternative products/suppliers as required
• Maintain effective supplier relationships to meet customer demands
• Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality and delivery terms
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of Purchasing Information Records / Agreements
• Management, correction and processing of blocked invoices

To be considered applicants SHOULD have:

• Relevant qualifications in Procurement or considerable experience in a similar role
• Proven problem solving, research and diagnostic skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and work to deadlines
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
• Knowledge and ability to operate SAP and Microsoft Office packages
