Capral Aluminium, Australia’s leading manufacturer and distributor of aluminium products, is growing — and we are looking for a skilled Fabrication Technician / Window Fabricator to join our team based in Campbellfield, Vic.

Join Capral's Technology Solutions Group in a role that combines hands-on aluminium window fabrication with the opportunity to influence product outcomes. You will manufacture prototype models of new and existing systems, support testing activities, and provide practical feedback to enhance design, finish, manufacturability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and training on the product range and applications to internal and external customers
• Devise technical training programs aligned with organisational requirements
• Prepare training materials (presentations, worksheets, etc.)
• Deliver training sessions, webinars and workshops, both in groups and individually
• Complete assigned engineering projects in a timely manner
• Document fabrication assessments and communicate corrective actions and opportunities for design improvement
• Assist with product testing and associated activities as required

What We’re Looking For

• Essential:
  1–3 years’ experience in aluminium fabrication
• Proven hands-on experience with aluminium fabrication tools, techniques and processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
• High attention to detail with the ability to visualise concepts
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions
• Well-developed procedural and documentation skills, with an understanding of quality management principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver training and instruction

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Capral’s current product range
• Experience in product testing and/or NATA accreditation
