A great opportunity now exists for experienced Manufacturing Machine Operators to join our team and grow your skills.

About the Role:

This position primarily centres on utilising machines within an extrusion facility, with a good understanding of systems that will optimise the manufacturing process. Safety and quality are our top priorities on-site, ensuring that every operation is conducted with precision and care.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure product quality and packaging standards are maintained and comply with delivery targets
  • Machine operation and inspection using vernier and micrometres
  • Ability to read extrusion drawings
  • Loading aluminium into machines
  • General computer and SAP knowledge is desirable
  • Participate in training to become a multi-skilled team member
  • Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives
  • Take full accountability for personal safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimisation and be committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health and the Environment (SH&E)

ESSENTIAL

  • Understanding of basic safety principles
  • Ability to work autonomously and maintain a high level of activity across all shifts
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of quality principles

DESIRABLE

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with automated machinery
  • Ability to identify problems and resolve or contribute to resolution thereof
  • Forklift licence
  • Experience and knowledge of material handling
  • Basic computer literacy skills
