Supply Chain Coordinator
BUNDAMBA, IPSWICH

Join the Capral team as a Supply Chain Coordinator and play a key role in supporting the efficient supply and distribution of aluminium extrusions and components.

 

In this role, you will coordinate inventory and procurement activities, support forecasting, and work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain stock availability and service levels. You will also assist with problem-solving day-to-day supply issues and contribute to continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review requisition and procure inventory in line with forecasts and budget
  • Expedite the procurement of materials that are subject to customer backorders or are at risk of being in a stock out situation.
  • Monitor products to ensure that supply chain settings are correct and that they are delivering desired outcomes.
  • Ensure that all stock outs and back orders are followed up to deliver target DIFOT and stock levels.
  • Problem solve daily issues and provide solutions to support a high level of service to our customers
  • Liaise with internal suppliers to ensure compliance with stated delivery times and quality of product
  • Coordinate reviews of slow moving and obsolete stock and carry out agreed actions
  • Modify and maintain forecast in line with feedback from sales and customers
  • Prepare and circulate reports into inventory performance and KPI's.
  • Root cause stockouts and first pass hit rate failures and implement corrective actions

 About You

Essential:

  • Relevant qualifications in logistics, inventory management, purchasing, or a related discipline or experience in a similar role
  • Advanced level of computer skills (Microsoft Office including Excel)
  • Proven problem solving skills and ability to multitask and work to deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar)

 Desirable:

  • Experience in a similar role or industry
  • SAP experience

 Applicants must also be prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical inclusive of drug and alcohol test.
