We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician with strong mechanical aptitude to join our close-knit team at our Bundamba aluminium extrusion facility. You will play a key role in keeping our production lines running efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. This key operational role involves working on a rotating shift roster, with some day work as required. You will perform breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a modern, fast-paced manufacturing environment. About the Role - Attend to plant and equipment breakdowns and complete scheduled preventative maintenance
- Provide technical support within a continuous improvement environment to optimise production
- Diagnose and repair faults using advanced PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment
- Maintain and develop computer-driven manufacturing and control systems
- Assist with maintenance planning to maximise productivity and quality
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve technical issues
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers, and support operator training on equipment use
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) standards and promote a strong safety culture
What We Are Looking For - QLD-qualified Electrician – Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician)
- Current QLD Electrical Licence (unrestricted)
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience
- Experience with VFDs, motor control devices, sensors, and fault finding on automated machinery
- Exposure to PLC programming (Rockwell preferred) and mechanical fault finding
- Hydraulic/pneumatic systems and MEX CMMS experience highly regarded (training provided if needed)
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and instrumentation drawings (CAD experience desirable)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer-based maintenance systems
- Desirable: Forklift Licence and EWP +11M
- A proactive, safety-minded team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
