About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to support the design and development of new and existing products across the Capral business. The role contributes to prototype modelling, technical documentation, product support, and strategic product planning.

 What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver assigned product development projects from concept through to commercialisation
• Undertake detailed design, feasibility, and manufacturing analysis
• Prepare costings, budgets, and project progress reports
• Support prototype manufacture and sample development
• Liaise with suppliers, toolmakers, and consultants as required
• Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain a strong commitment to Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) standards

What We’re Looking For

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline
• Experience in product design and development, ideally within plastic moulding, metal forming, or aluminium extrusion
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Well-developed documentation skills with an understanding of quality principles
